Reva
Reva is a visiting teacher to the ashram. She first came to the ashram for two weeks in 2015 and stayed 5 years! Since being a teenager, she has been exploring the deeper mysteries of life and esoteric aspects of spirituality. She is particularly interested in the transformative and alchemical aspects of yoga.
This quest led to her studying Philosophy and Religious Studies at degree level. In 2007 she found Siddha Yoga, and formed a transformational relationship with her Guru and lineage, where she received shaktipat initiation. She has spent time in ashrams in India and the US.
Ayurveda, Shamanism & The Sacred Feminine
Reva is an ayurvedic advisor, trained with Hale Pule whom she stayed with in Hawaii.
She enjoys incorporating ayurveda into her life and supporting others in doing so. Reva has also embraced the path of shamanism, training as a practitioner with the Sacred Trust and is an initiate of the gynocentric European path, the Lyceum (formerly known as the Path of Pollen).
During her time at Mandala Yoga Ashram, she completed the two-year yoga teacher training and offered karma yoga in many of the ashram departments. She brought much vibrancy and abundance to the ashram garden, including creating the herb garden in the central courtyard. Since leaving the ashram she has founded the School of the Sacred Feminine, supporting the re-emergence of the Divine feminine and offers individual sessions, courses and retreats. She is passionate about supporting women and men on their spiritual and healing journeys.
Through her teaching Reva weaves together her spiritual experience and knowledge with her experience as a psychotherapist. Initially she trained as an Art Psychotherapist and later as a Group Analytic Psychotherapist (MSc) with the Institute of Group Analysis. She has worked as a psychotherapist in Birmingham, including in Therapeutic Communities and the Women’s Psychotherapy Service.
Her teaching is focused on remembering our essential and authentic Self, encouraging balance and harmony through our connection with nature and Source.
Reva is also an artist, craftswomen, writer and intuitive gardener. She currently lives in Pembrokeshire.
