Swami Nishchalananda online Satsang 18/11/23
The theme today was the festival of Diwali, an Indian tradition of burning millions of candles everywhere n shops, houses etc.. The symbolism in this Festival of Light is our own individual 'illumination', spiritual awareness and awakening.
The meditation reflects this; Swamiji suggests a sankalpa (resolution) of 'May each human being, represented by each candle flame, realise their essential nature'. Through such realisation, peace can come to that person and with many people experiencing inner peace, so peace can come to the whole planet.
As always, the core message is 'In all activities, thinking, sensing, doing, identify with the "i" awareness'.
Questions follow on topics such as inspiration to keep practicing even when things seem a bit low, and the connection between conscious and unconscious states, leading us into the world of Archetypes.
